A Maiden America Signature Silhouette! My "Gondola" is a sexy, 'swishy' handbag that really comes to life on an arm. When I'm not purely mixing textiles, I'm working with fine, topgrain leather and textile combinations. This black, topgrain leather is "like butter!" and the contrasting Southwestern motif in rich, red tones makes for a classic, eternally stylish design. The Gondola is not too big and not too small - design size is approx. 16" long, 6" wide and 6" deep at the midpoint. Straps are approx. 28" long. It has one inner pocket (ideal for a cell phone) & two magnetic snaps for closure. Limited Edition Handbags are custom items put into production at time of order. My "Gondola" feels fabulous, tucked under your arm, tassels swishing & swaying wherever your attitude takes you! Closed corners make perfect 'ends' for stowing keys, lipstick and other loose items. Two things I consider 'signatures' of my work are clean silhouettes and a gorgeous mix of textiles - in this case, a fine topgrain leather is used in combination with a gorgeous texture with Southwestern motif. I've detailed the Keyhole with Carnelian & a mini Swarovski crystal. Again, there is something to be said for a very subtle bit of 'bling'...it's for the woman who likes to make her statement while, at the same time, maintaining her intrigue and mystery.
