| The Gondola is not too big and not too small - design size is approx. 16" long, 6" wide and 6" deep at the midpoint. Straps are approx. 28" long. It has one inner pocket (ideal for a cell phone) & two magnetic snaps for closure. Limited Edition Handbags are custom items put into production at time of order. Closed corners make perfect 'ends' for stowing keys, lipstick and other loose items. Two things I consider 'signatures' of my work are clean silhouettes and a gorgeous mix of textiles. I mix for contrast and texture, often creating contrast purely through texture (this is a good example - this bag is relatively monochromatic so the real contrast is in the textural and ornamental details). An elegant combination - the heavy, raised 'nubs' in the upper fabric contrast with a more smooth, padded / quilted look of the golden body & straps. I've detailed the Keyhole with Carnelian & a mini Swarovski crystal. Again, there is something to be said for a very subtle bit of 'bling'...it's for the woman who likes to make her statement while, at the same time, maintaining her intrigue and mystery. | |
